Your teachings continue to shape my daily life. Even the rehearsal beatings, which almost made me dislike you back then (yes, beatings – you read it right 🤣!). You dared not go late to rehearsal; that taught me punctuality in my field today. The disciplined theater of those times instilled a sense of decorum, both at home and away.
Brother Lasun, your chastisement helped me a lot, especially through challenges posed by some destructive bloggers today. You were the first person to help me develop a thick skin 😊.
Brother Lasun would scold you until you see it as nothing anymore, then he would start advising you, following the Yoruba adage that says, ‘chastise with the right hand and pull the child close with the left hand.’
