Movie marketer and businessman Kazim Adeoti, sometimes known as Adekaz, had been in the entertainment business for a long time, but many people outside of Nollywood’s inner circles didn’t start to hear about him until his marriage to well-known actress Mercy Aigbe became public knowledge in 2022.
The couple has managed to weather the storm and still appear to be deeply in love, despite the fact that their union was heavily criticized because many people believed that his involvement with Mercy was the reason his first wife’s marriage ended.
There is also no doubt that Adekaz marriage to Mercy has rubbed off on him in many ways. His wife’s substantial fan base has brought him more public attention, and he is believed to benefit from the increased visibility that comes with being married to a well-known celebrity. The couple has also been involved in some business ventures together.

Since they got married, the entrepreneur has become more social media savvy, and has featured in several short videos with her.
In the course of promoting her 2023 film, Ada Omo Daddy, Adekaz left no stone unturned in showing that he was a supportive husband. He appeared in many skits with her to promote the film, even going to the extent of wearing funny costumes, which got many laughing and making “memes” of him on social media.
Some critics were of the opinion that he was making a fool of himself, but he stood resolute in lending her his support.
Apparently undeterred by naysayers, he also went all out to help in promoting her latest movie, Thin Line, which was released in December 2024.
Another aspect of his life that bears Mercy’s unmistakable imprint is his fashion sense.
His outfit to the premiere of Thin Line got many talking. While some applauded him for the bold outfit, some felt it was at odds with his usual conservative style of dressing, and yet others opined that it was feminine. The outfit consisted of a brown top styled like a woman’s blouse over a wide-bottomed trousers resting on a pair of brown boots.
In recent times, he has also sported a number of hip clothing, which has earned him the nickname, ‘Gen Z daddy’.
In a post on his birthday, Friday, January 24, 2024, he posted a picture of himself wearing a white flowy shirt and layered trousers, and wrote, “It’s GenZ Alhaji glorious birthday…I give all the glory and admiration to the Almighty God.”
Also celebrating him on his special day, Mercy shared a video of him in a white bathrobe, breaking open a bottle of champagne. She added the caption, “Celebrant no gree make champagne pop. Happy birthday to the love of my life! You make everyday brighter. I am beyond grateful to have you by my side! Here’s to many more adventures, laughter and memories together. Happy birthday oko mi atanda, olowori agbeke. Love you till infinity.”
Showing that the relationship is not one-sided, Mercy has also often spoken about how Adeoti has been a supportive partner.
