West Ham have completed the signing of former Newcastle and Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson on a one-year deal.
The 33-year-old joined as a free agent after parting ways with Newcastle United at the end of last season, following failed contract negotiations. Wilson made just 18 Premier League appearances last term, largely playing second fiddle to Alexander Isak.

After passing a medical on Saturday, Wilson put pen to paper on an initial one-year contract with the Hammers.

“I’m excited to be joining a massive football club like West Ham,” Wilson said. “It’s a club that shares my values—hard work, dedication, and the pursuit of success. I’m proud to be part of it.”
Speaking about the team under new manager Graham Potter, he added: “There’s real talent in the squad. The gaffer has come in and built unity—everyone working together toward the same goal of finishing as high as possible in the league.”
Wilson, who earned nine England caps between 2018 and 2023, scored 49 goals in 130 appearances for Newcastle after his £20 million move from Bournemouth in 2020.
He had offers from other Premier League clubs and interest from MLS, but opted for West Ham.
Wilson becomes the latest addition to a busy summer window for West Ham, who have already brought in Jean-Clair Todibo, El Hadji Malick Diouf, Kyle Walker-Peters, and Daniel Cummings. The club also remains interested in Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey.
