Veteran Nollywood actor, Yemi Ayebo has revealed that he was never paid by well-known musician Olamide for exploiting his name, “Yemi my lover,” in his songs.
When he was having a chat with Pasuma, he had asked him whether Olamide had compensated him for using the name.

Ayebo revealed this during a chat with Pasuma.
Pasuma had asked him whether Olamide compensated him for using the name.
However, he had answered in the negative, noting that he and the singer had never spoken.

He added that after getting Olamide’s number, he called him severally but he refused to pick his call.
The actor said in part:
“When Olamide used my name in his song Yemi My Lover, I was so happy but he didn’t compensate me. Pasuma gave me Olamide’s number & I called him for over six months but he never picked up, so I just let it go….”
