Paris Saint-Germain manager, Luis Enrique, has named goalkeeper Alisson Becker as Liverpool’s best player following their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first-leg clash on Wednesday.
Enrique described the Brazilian as “magnificent” after Becker made nine crucial saves during the match. The Liverpool goalkeeper was named Man of the Match for his performance.
In contrast, PSG’s goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma failed to make a save, conceding the only shot on target from Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott in the final minutes of the game in Paris.

In his post-match interview, Enrique expressed that PSG deserved more from the match. “We deserved more,” he said. “Their best player was their goalkeeper—he was magnificent today. This wasn’t a game based on stats or details.”
The result ended PSG’s 22-match unbeaten run and their 10-game winning streak across all competitions.
