Barcelona have been dealt a significant injury blow ahead of their UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg against Inter Milan, as left-back Alejandro Balde has been officially ruled out of the match at San Siro on Tuesday.
Balde has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since last month, missing the last eight games for Barcelona. His recovery has not progressed as expected, and now it seems he will not be available for the crucial clash with Inter Milan.

The 21-year-old was originally expected to return for Barcelona’s La Liga match against Real Valladolid this past weekend. However, Balde was not included in the matchday squad as Barcelona secured a 2-1 win over Valladolid, dashing any hopes of his involvement in the upcoming UCL fixture.
With Balde out, Gerard Martin is likely to step in as a replacement for the Spain international against the Serie A giants.
Balde has been a crucial player for Barcelona since making his senior debut in 2021, and this season, he has made 43 appearances across all competitions, contributing one goal and ten assists.
