Two Real Madrid players, Kylian Mbappé and Arda Güler, have emerged as the frontrunners to inherit the iconic No.10 shirt vacated by Luka Modric, according to Marca.
Modric officially departed the Spanish giants following their elimination from the FIFA Club World Cup at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain. The Croatian midfielder played his final game for Los Blancos in that match and saw his contract expire at the end of the 2024/25 season.
Real Madrid chose not to renew Modric’s deal, paving the way for a summer move to Serie A side AC Milan. The 39-year-old has since signed a one-year contract with the Italian club.

While Real Madrid have not yet confirmed who will take over the No.10 jersey, Marca reports that both Mbappé and Güler are under consideration for the prestigious number.
