Arsenal have opened negotiations to sign Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman from Atalanta ahead of the new season.
Lookman is entering the final months of his contract with the Serie A club and is expected to leave this summer, following a reported fallout with former manager Gian Piero Gasperini.
According to AFTV, Mikel Arteta is keen to add the 26-year-old to his attacking options as the Gunners look to strengthen their squad.

Atalanta appear to be preparing for Lookman’s departure, having agreed a deal to sign Southampton winger Kamaldeen Sulemana. The Ghana international is set to join the Italian side for a total package of €21.5 million (£18.3m), including add-ons, with an initial fee of €17.5 million (£15m).
Sulemana, who primarily plays on the left wing, is expected to fill a similar role once his move to Atalanta is completed.
