Real Madrid announced on Friday that they have reached an agreement to sign highly rated Argentine midfielder Franco Mastantuono from River Plate.
The deal is valued at approximately €61 million, including taxes. However, according to beIN Sports, Mastantuono will not link up with the squad immediately.

Madrid have agreed to delay his arrival until after the Club World Cup, in part due to River Plate’s desire to keep the 17-year-old for the remainder of their Copa Libertadores campaign.

“Mastantuono will be a player at our club for the next six seasons, from 14 August 2025 to 30 June 2031,” Real Madrid confirmed in an official statement.
At just 17, Mastantuono holds the distinction of being the youngest player ever to feature in an official match for the Argentina national team.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid will have new signing Trent Alexander-Arnold available for the upcoming Club World Cup. The England international has already begun training with Xabi Alonso’s squad at Valdebebas after completing his move for a €10 million compensation fee. He is now expected to make his debut during the tournament.
