Former Chelsea winger Florent Malouda has expressed strong support for Victor Osimhen joining his old club, calling the Nigerian striker an ideal addition to the Blues’ squad.
Chelsea are actively seeking a new striker after a disappointing season from Nicolas Jackson, and Osimhen has emerged as a top target. The Napoli forward was previously linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, but talks reportedly stalled due to his wage demands.
Malouda believes Osimhen would not only be a valuable signing but also a key figure in helping Jackson develop.

“The links with Chelsea are strong. We’ve had brilliant African footballers in the past, and Osimhen can be the next generation of African players at Chelsea,” Malouda told Racing Tipster. “I would love to see him join the club. I think he would be an excellent signing. I also think he would help someone like Nicolas Jackson improve.”
He added that Osimhen could deliver the goal tally the club has been missing: “We need a striker that scores 20 or more a season. Osimhen is the kind of player who can do that.”
The Blues will be hoping to secure a top forward this summer under new manager Enzo Maresca, with Osimhen firmly on their radar.
