Dewunmi Fatai, a Yoruba film actress, has talked candidly about her present romantic situation and the difficulties she has in finding a devoted spouse. She said, “I’m single and looking for a good man, but some men keep dumping me because of my son. A few of the men that I have dated have generally had a good beginning with me, but they usually break up with me because they think I’m too tough as a woman. Sometimes they would become irritated with no reason, and I usually end the relationship whenever I witnessed such behavior.”
