Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo has shared his excitement at the opportunity to work under newly appointed manager Jorge Jesus.
The veteran Portuguese tactician becomes the second manager from Ronaldo’s homeland to take charge of the Saudi Pro League side during the forward’s time at the club. Ronaldo previously played under Luis Castro throughout the 2023–24 season.
Italian coach Stefano Pioli led the team last season but has since departed to return to Serie A, where he has taken over at Fiorentina.

Jorge Jesus, 70, arrives with significant experience in Saudi football, having previously managed Al-Nassr’s city rivals Al-Hilal. During his time there, he won the league title, the King’s Cup, and two Saudi Super Cups.
Reports indicate Jesus signed a one-year contract with Al-Nassr, with Ronaldo’s backing said to have played a key role in finalizing the appointment.
Ronaldo reacted to the news with a brief but warm message on social media, simply writing: “Welcome.”
