Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has been named the Football Writers’ Association (FWA) Footballer of the Year after receiving an impressive 90% of the total votes.
The Egyptian forward has enjoyed a sensational season, scoring 33 goals and providing 23 assists across all competitions, including 28 goals in the Premier League. His contributions played a pivotal role in helping Liverpool secure their 20th top-flight title, leveling them with Manchester United for the most league titles in history.
This marks the third time Salah has won the prestigious award, matching the record set by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, who is the only other player to have claimed the honour three times, in 2017-18, 2021-22, and now this year.
