Manchester United are still on the hunt for a proven No. 9 after disappointing investments in Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Højlund in recent transfer windows.
According to reports, the Red Devils are now eyeing a move for Luis Suárez — not the legendary Uruguayan forward formerly of Liverpool and Barcelona, who currently plays for Inter Miami — but rather the Colombian international who starred for Almeria last season.

As reported by A Bola, Suárez has attracted interest from several top European clubs, including Liverpool, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Sporting CP, and even Sunderland. However, apart from Sporting, none have yet made an official move to sign the striker from La Liga 2 side Almeria.

The 26-year-old is under contract with Almeria until 2029, and the Spanish club are demanding €25 million (around £21.6 million) for his services. Sporting consider the fee too steep as they look for a replacement for Viktor Gyökeres.
Suárez enjoyed a standout 2024/25 campaign, scoring 31 goals and providing 9 assists in 43 appearances. He notably netted a hat-trick against La Liga outfit Sevilla in the Copa del Rey. While he couldn’t help Almeria gain promotion, he has already played 100 games in La Liga, contributing 33 goals during his time in Spain’s top flight.
