Real Madrid have officially requested that their opening fixture of the 2025/26 LaLiga season be postponed.
According to Madrid Xtra (via @carrusel), Los Blancos, Osasuna, and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) are all in agreement to reschedule the match for October 29.
LaLiga will now have the final say on whether to approve the request.

As previously announced, the new LaLiga season is set to begin on Friday, August 15, 2025, and run through Sunday, May 24, 2026.
Xabi Alonso’s side are scheduled to face Osasuna on matchday one at the Santiago Bernabéu, with the fixture currently set for Tuesday, August 19.
