Paris Saint-Germain are taking no risks with star forward Ousmane Dembele as they prepare for next week’s Champions League semi-final second leg against Arsenal.
Dembele, who has been in sensational form with 33 goals and 22 assists across all competitions this season, gave PSG an early lead in last week’s first-leg clash at the Emirates Stadium. However, he was substituted after 70 minutes due to what has now been identified as a minor hamstring issue.
According to RMC Sport, PSG are treating the injury cautiously. Dembele sat out Thursday’s training session and is expected to miss the upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against Strasbourg as a precaution. The club hopes the extra rest will ensure he is fit to start Wednesday’s decisive match at Parc des Princes.

Should he be unavailable, it would be a significant blow for PSG and a potential boost for Arsenal, who need at least a one-goal victory in Paris to force extra time.
Both clubs are in pursuit of their first-ever Champions League title. PSG came closest in 2020, losing narrowly to Bayern Munich, while Arsenal last reached the final in 2006, falling to Barcelona after leading for much of the match.
