Paul Pogba is on the verge of completing a move to Monaco this week, marking his return to competitive football after serving a doping suspension.
Earlier this month, BBC Sport reported that the French midfielder was in advanced discussions over a two-year deal with the Ligue 1 side. Sources close to the negotiations have since confirmed that an agreement is in place. Pogba is expected to arrive in France from his temporary base in the United States in the coming days to undergo a medical before signing.

The former Manchester United and Juventus star was provisionally suspended after testing positive following Juventus’ 2023-24 season opener against Udinese. He was initially handed a four-year ban, which was later reduced to 18 months on appeal in October.

Pogba became eligible to resume his career in March, following a mutual agreement to part ways with Juventus.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) confirmed in its final ruling that Pogba had unintentionally ingested DHEA, a substance that boosts testosterone and is prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Notably, the ruling emphasized that DHEA only has performance-enhancing effects in females.
