Actresses Funke Akindele and Wunmi Toriola have been named the highest-grossing lead actresses of 2024 by FilmOne, a prominent movie distribution firm.

On Monday, they made the announcement on their Instagram account, @filmoneng.

Funke secured the top spot with her blockbuster film Everybody Loves Jenifa, while Toriola followed closely in second place with Queen Lateefah.

Toyin Abraham took third place with her movie Alakada Bad and Boujee, while Tomike Adeoye came in fourth with Ajosepo.

Eniola Ajao earned the fifth position with Beast of Two Worlds: Ajakaju, followed by Kehinde Bankole in sixth for Funmilayo Ransome Kuti.

Adunni Ade clinched seventh with Lakatabu, while Uche Nwaefuna secured eighth for her performances in Thinline, Silent Intruder and The Betrayed.

Regina Daniels ranked ninth and Gbugbemi Ejeye rounded out the top ten with Farmer’s Bride.
