The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has extended its support to Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali with a donation of N20 million to assist with the burial arrangements for his late parents.
Nwabali has been mourning the loss of both his parents in quick succession—first his father, followed just months later by the passing of his mother. The tragic losses have left the goalkeeper in a period of deep grief.

The NFF had previously expressed condolences following the death of Nwabali’s father, with President Mohammed Sanusi noting that losing a parent is one of life’s most painful experiences. The federation again reached out with words of comfort after the passing of his mother, urging him to remain strong through the difficult time.

In recognition of these personal tragedies, Nwabali has been granted compassionate leave and was excused from the Super Eagles’ recent trip to Russia.
According to football photographer Pooja, the NFF provided the N20 million donation as a gesture of solidarity and support during this trying period for the player.
