Newcastle United have increased their offer to RB Leipzig for striker Benjamin Šeško, according to Sky in Germany. The Premier League club is now proposing a £69.7 million (€80m) deal as a fixed fee, with additional performance-related add-ons.
Their initial proposal, revealed exclusively by Sky Sports News on Saturday, included a £65.3m base fee plus £4.36m (€75m + €5m) in bonuses. Ongoing negotiations with Leipzig have since led to the improved offer.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have also entered the race and are expected to submit a formal bid for the Slovenian forward. Talks between United and Leipzig are already underway, with Šeško reportedly open to both clubs’ projects. However, sources indicate he may favour a move to Old Trafford if a deal is reached.

United’s interest in Šeško has also cast doubt on the future of Rasmus Højlund, as the club is believed to be open to offers for the Danish striker.
