Veteran Nollywood comedian Adeola Kazeem, better known by his stage name Lanko Omo Oba Dubai, has talked candidly about his family’s difficulties, personal hardships, and surviving in the film business. These were disclosed by the Abeokuta-born entertainer on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, in an emotional interview with FEELRIGHTNEWS TV.
One of the most painful memories he shared was his strained relationship with his father. According to him, his father turned his back on him because of his passion for acting.
“My father rejected me as a son because I was acting movie for 8 years,” Lanko recounted. He explained that years later, his father fell ill and was admitted to a hospital in Lagos but was not attended to for days. His stepmother eventually called him for help.
On arriving at the hospital, his popularity drew attention, which eventually made the doctors notice his father. “And after I told the doctor, he was referred to another hospital where I followed him. And he told me if somebody told him then that I would have been the child to take care of him, he wouldn’t have listened,” he revealed.
The actor also addressed controversies surrounding his personal life. He strongly denied speculations about marrying his house help. “I never married my house help because I never had house help,” he said.

However, when speaking about his failed marriage, he made shocking revelations. Lanko described his ex-wife as violent and dangerous. “My ex-wife is a devil. She used cutlass to cut my head and my hand making my hand imbalanced,” he said.
He added that the same woman introduced another lady to him under the pretense of learning acting. Unexpectedly, that woman later had four children for him. “She brought a girl for me to teach how to act, movie acting, which later born 4 child for me,” Lanko disclosed.
Despite all these challenges, the comic actor maintained that he is now at peace and happy with his wife, while continuing to focus on his career and family.
