Mohamed Salah has issued a clear message to Liverpool’s Premier League title rivals, revealing that he is already focused on securing the trophy again next season.
The Reds have dominated for much of the current campaign and clinched the title in style with a commanding 5-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend.
While celebrations were in full swing, Salah admitted that this title felt “way better” than their 2019/20 triumph under Jurgen Klopp. However, the Egyptian’s attention quickly shifted to retaining the crown next season.

“This is what we wanted to deliver to our fans more than anything,” Salah wrote on social media. “This is a club that should always compete for everything and be at the top. No excuses.
“All teams win games, but in the end, there’s only one champion. That’s what history remembers, and this applies to next season as well.”
Salah’s commitment to Liverpool’s title defense next season is further confirmed by his new two-year contract, signed just before star defender Virgil van Dijk did the same. The 32-year-old forward has netted 28 Premier League goals this season and is just two assists shy of tying the single-season assist record with 20.
Liverpool’s title bid could face challenges, however, with the potential departure of right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is rumored to be moving to Real Madrid on a free transfer. Despite this, Dutch winger Cody Gakpo hinted at a possible change of heart from Alexander-Arnold during his own title celebrations.
Arsenal will be eager to take Liverpool’s crown next season, while Manchester City are expected to mount a stronger challenge after a disappointing season that saw them fall out of this year’s title race. Chelsea, who were initially seen as one of Liverpool’s main competitors, will also aim to get back into contention after a rough patch of form.
