Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe is thinking back on her first victory ahead of the 2025 AMVCA ceremony.
The actress and filmmaker posted pictures from her first AMVCA victory to her Instagram page, adding that she has since been nominated for multiple awards.
The wife of Kazim Adeoti expressed gratitude that despite over twenty years in the industry, she is still relevant and still gets nominations. Aigbe said she can’t override the power of consistency, authenticity, and reinvention in her journey.
Aigbe, who is one of this year’s nominees, said her nomination is a reminder of the hard work, sleepless nights and the passion she puts into her craft. The filmmaker expressed gratitude to her fans and all for supporting her brand.

Firstly to God be the glory that for well over 20 years in this industry I am still relevant, still getting these nominations….
