Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe has secured the European Golden Shoe for the 2024/25 season, finishing ahead of Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyökeres.
In his debut La Liga campaign, Mbappe scored 31 goals, earning 62 points under the UEFA scoring system that awards two points per goal in Europe’s top five leagues.

Gyökeres finished with an impressive 39 goals in Portugal’s Primeira Liga, which gave him 58.5 points, as goals in lower-ranked leagues are valued at 1.5 points each.

Salah took third place, scoring 29 goals for Liverpool as they won the Premier League. He totaled 58 points.
Mbappe becomes only the second Frenchman to win the prestigious award, following in the footsteps of Thierry Henry.
Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski, with 25 goals, still has one match remaining against Athletic Bilbao. However, he cannot catch up to Mbappe’s tally.
