Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has reportedly enlisted the help of super-agent Pini Zahavi in an effort to secure his “dream” transfer to Barcelona.
Rashford recently enjoyed a successful six-month loan spell at Aston Villa, scoring four goals and providing six assists in 17 appearances. However, a hamstring injury has sidelined him for the remainder of the season. Villa are yet to decide whether to trigger the £40m option to buy Rashford permanently, with the final decision resting with the England international. Paris Saint-Germain, who are finalists in the Champions League, remain long-term suitors.
Despite the interest from PSG, a move to Barcelona is reportedly Rashford’s top priority. According to Mundo Deportivo, he is actively working towards making that dream a reality. To help facilitate the transfer, Rashford has teamed up with Zahavi, one of the world’s most influential agents, who also represents Barcelona manager Hansi Flick and star striker Robert Lewandowski.

Zahavi has strong ties to Barcelona and club president Joan Laporta, and Rashford believes that partnering with the Israeli agent will improve his chances of joining the Spanish giants this summer.
Barcelona were offered the opportunity to sign Rashford in January and showed interest, but the financial implications of the deal proved too challenging for the La Liga leaders at the time. With their spending power expected to increase this summer, it remains to be seen if they will pursue Rashford, especially as they are reportedly satisfied with their current wing options and have dropped out of the race for Athletic Club’s Nico Williams.
Rashford, who has played as a central striker during his time at Villa, could be an ideal addition to Barcelona, who are looking to strengthen their forward options, particularly to provide cover for Lewandowski, who turns 37 in August.
Discussions between Rashford and Barcelona are said to have begun, with the possibility of an initial loan move, but Manchester United are expected to demand that any agreement includes an obligation for Barcelona to make the move permanent.
