Manchester United are reportedly eyeing Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo as a potential summer signing to bolster their attacking options under Ruben Amorim.
With attacking reinforcements a priority for the upcoming season, and with reported strong interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Matheus Cunha, United may look to strengthen all three forward positions within Amorim’s preferred 3-4-2-1 formation. This comes amid expected departures for Marcus Rashford and Antony following their loan spells.
Mbeumo has shone for Brentford this season, particularly after Ivan Toney’s exit. The Cameroonian international has formed a productive partnership with Yoane Wissa, with the duo contributing a combined 45 Premier League goals and assists (18 goals each).

According to The Telegraph, Manchester United are among several Premier League clubs, including Newcastle and Liverpool, showing interest in the 25-year-old winger. Arsenal are also reportedly seeking to add depth in wide areas.
Brentford manager Thomas Frank recently indicated a willingness to sell Mbeumo if the price is right, stating, “If the price is right – and that’s going to be expensive – is coming, then I’m sure the club will be open to it… we are a selling club.”
It is anticipated that Brentford will demand around £60 million for Mbeumo, whose contract runs until 2026 and includes a club option for an additional year. Given Brentford’s track record in the transfer market, the upcoming window may be seen as an opportune time to sell their highly-rated player.
