Instead, L’Equipe claims that United’s focus has shifted to Kvaratskhelia, and discussions with Napoli are described as “concrete contacts,” signaling the club’s intention to secure a deal.
However, Manchester United faces stiff competition from PSG, who are also eager to sign Kvaratskhelia. Napoli is reportedly open to selling the winger but is unlikely to accept a player-plus-cash deal involving Marcus Rashford, as United had hoped to navigate financial constraints under the Premier League’s Sustainability Rules (PSR) with such an arrangement. Meanwhile, PSG has already submitted an offer of £67 million, which United may struggle to match unless they can raise funds through player sales.

Given PSG’s financial advantage and proactive approach, it seems increasingly unlikely that Manchester United will land Kvaratskhelia this transfer window, especially without significant funds to compete with the Parisians’ offer.
