Manchester City have secured an agreement to sign highly rated Paris Saint-Germain striker Mahamadou Sangare, with the 18-year-old set to join the Premier League champions this summer.
Sangare, who celebrated his 18th birthday in March, has been prolific at youth level for PSG, netting an impressive 42 goals in 46 appearances up to the Under-19s. Despite training with the senior squad since December, he has yet to feature in a first-team matchday squad.
With his contract expiring at the end of the season, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that City have moved quickly to finalise a deal, beating out competition from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United.

This isn’t the first time City have targeted PSG’s youth talent. They previously signed defensive midfielder Claudio Gomes in 2018, though he never broke into the first team and was sold to Palermo in 2022.
While Manchester City are expected to make major moves in rebuilding Pep Guardiola’s senior squad this summer, they are also focused on strengthening their academy. Alongside the Sangare deal, the club is planning to bring in 15-year-old American prodigy Cavan Sullivan from Philadelphia Union.
City’s youth setup remains one of the most dominant in the country. Their Under-21 side topped Premier League 2 this season, and the Under-18s, led by Oliver Reiss, will face Aston Villa in the upcoming FA Youth Cup final.
