Departing Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has shed light on forward Rodrygo’s current situation at the club.
Ancelotti explained that the Brazilian is feeling down due to discomfort in his leg. He also revealed that the 24-year-old had a fever recently and missed training sessions.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference ahead of Real Madrid’s LaLiga clash with Mallorca on Wednesday, Ancelotti said (via Fabrizio Romano):

“Rodrygo has discomfort in his leg. He’s sad for that, but there’s really nothing more.”
“He had a fever and didn’t train last week, so he wasn’t fit. He felt uncomfortable and we wanted to check on it. Everyone loves Rodrygo, especially me.”
Rodrygo joined Real Madrid from Brazilian side Santos in 2019.
