New Barcelona signing Marcus Rashford has expressed amazement at the talent of teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, saying the youngster is performing well beyond his years.
Rashford, who joined the Catalan club on a season-long loan deal this week, will link up with Yamal ahead of the new campaign. Speaking to Spanish YouTuber xBuyer in Marbella, the England international admitted he’s stunned by what Yamal is already doing on the pitch.
“It’s hard to even describe what he’s doing at his age,” Rashford said. “He’s not supposed to be doing that at 16, 17 years old.”

Rashford, who made his professional debut at 18, highlighted the rarity of such a young player competing consistently at the highest level.
“He’s 17 and already playing at the top. I don’t think we’ve seen something like this before.”
The Manchester United loanee added that he’s excited to play alongside Yamal, whom he described as “the best,” saying, “Every top player in the world would want to share the pitch with him.”
