Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni has set aside captain Lionel Messi while naming who he believes are the best footballers in the world right now.
Although Scaloni maintains that Messi remains incomparable, he highlighted Kylian Mbappe, Lamine Yamal, Julian Alvarez, and Lautaro Martinez as the standout players in today’s game.

“I will set Messi aside because he is unique. So I will say Kylian Mbappe, Lamine Yamal, and Julian Alvarez or Lautaro Martinez as well.”
Messi, who has won a record eight Ballon d’Or titles and amassed 46 trophies in his career, continues to perform at a high level despite being in the twilight of his career at 37. The former Barcelona and PSG star has scored 10 goals and delivered three assists in 15 appearances for Inter Miami this season.
