Odion Ighalo and Al Wehda have been relegated from the Saudi Pro League following a 2-1 defeat to Al Ettifaq in their final game of the season.
Needing a win to retain their top-flight status, Al Wehda fell short despite a hard-fought effort. Ighalo, who had contributed six goals and two assists over the campaign, was unable to add to his tally in the crucial match.

Al Ettifaq took the lead through Abdullah Radif just before halftime, but Al Wehda responded in the 70th minute with an equalizer from Jawad El Yamiq. However, their hopes were dashed when they conceded a late goal in stoppage time.

The loss leaves Al Wehda in 16th place on 33 points, just below the survival line. A win would have seen them leapfrog Al Okhdood, who secured safety in 15th.
As a result, Ighalo and his teammates will compete in the Saudi First Division next season.
