She emphasized the difficulty of raising a child alone from infancy, especially in the face of social prejudices that often label single mothers negatively.
In addition to her personal struggles, the actress also touched on her decision to step away from Nollywood.
With the demands of motherhood, she found it difficult to manage the long hours and travel required for movie productions. Choosing to prioritize her child, she left the film industry and shifted her focus to business ventures that allowed her to be more present in her child’s life.
She said: “I’m a single mother. My marriage didn’t work out. I left my husband’s house when my child was just three months old. The marriage lasted about a year and four months. I told people that usually blame me to try it if it’s easy to take a three-month-old child out of her marriage and breastfeed the child for over a year. I tell them to search their conscience if it’s right, because most people believe that women who move out of their husband’s house are promiscuous.”
