Veteran Yoruba actor Elegbeje Ado, he is only allowed to play in gospel films because of a heavenly directive.
As a result, he no longer takes parts in mainstream Nollywood productions. The seasoned actor revealed this in an interview on Kunle Afod’s YouTube channel, where he talked candidly about the spiritual path that now directs his professional choices.

The veteran thespian stressed the seriousness of the spiritual guidance he follows, noting that any disobedience on his part could come with consequences. He emphasized that he has made peace with the sacrifices involved, including turning down lucrative offers, in order to remain aligned with his faith.
His words: “I used to get calls from producers that I should come and feature in Nollywood movies. However, I usually declined the offer because God has warned me that I shouldn’t feature in regular Nollywood movies, but only gospel movies. Sometimes I won’t have money with me, and they will bring a mouth-watering offer with good pay. However, I will decline because God has already given me an instruction that I should follow. God has warned me that if I disobey His instructions, I shouldn’t complain if anything happens to me.”
