Everton have reached an agreement to sign Chelsea’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in a deal worth approximately £28 million.
The transfer will see Everton pay an initial £24 million, with a further £3–4 million in potential add-ons. The 26-year-old is now set to undergo a medical and finalise personal terms, despite late interest from Fulham.

Dewsbury-Hall was initially hesitant to leave Stamford Bridge, having contributed in a rotational role during Chelsea’s successful 2024/25 campaign — which included winning the FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Conference League, along with securing Champions League qualification.

However, Chelsea were open to his departure as they look to recoup most of the £30 million spent to bring him from Leicester City in 2024. The midfielder had reunited with manager Enzo Maresca, who also made the switch from Leicester to Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Everton remain in talks with Southampton over winger Tyler Dibling. After having a second bid rejected, the Toffees are considering ending their pursuit unless the Saints lower their asking price for the 19-year-old.
Speaking during his final press conference at the Premier League Summer Series, Everton boss David Moyes said:
“I think there’ll be deals next week. We’re getting much closer — but I felt that four or five weeks ago too. We’re getting near the tickly bits and need to get some things done.”
Chelsea, having signed Dutch defender Jorrel Hato from Ajax on Sunday, are actively working on outgoings. Midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu, 21, has agreed to join Burnley, who are also in advanced talks for striker Armando Broja. Borussia Dortmund have reopened discussions over a move for Carney Chukwuemeka, as the Blues aim to trim their squad ahead of the new season.
