Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has expressed his surprise at the club’s decision not to offer him a new contract.
The Belgium international’s current deal at the Etihad expires at the end of this season, and De Bruyne has confirmed he will be leaving Pep Guardiola’s side by June 2025 after a decade with the club.
As the 32-year-old prepares to exit, several clubs are reportedly lining up to secure his services as a free agent.

Speaking to Aadamp9, De Bruyne shared his feelings on the situation:
“There was a little bit of shock as I didn’t receive any offer from Man City throughout the year,” he said. “Obviously, I was surprised, but I have to accept it. I still believe I can perform at this level, but I understand clubs have to make decisions.”
