Manchester United winger Antony has expressed his gratitude towards former manager Erik ten Hag, revealing how the Dutch coach helped him become a better player.
Antony, who played under Ten Hag both at Ajax and Manchester United, joined the Red Devils in 2022 for £85 million.
Reflecting on his time with Ten Hag, the Brazilian international told ESPN: “Erik ten Hag is a coach I’m very grateful to. He helped me a lot in the Netherlands, and in England too, even though the opportunities didn’t come the way I wanted.”

He added, “But that is the coach’s choice, I don’t hold any grudges or anything. On the contrary, I’m very grateful for everything he’s done with me, for all the conversations too. He’s a coach who will certainly be part of this story because he helped me a lot.”
Currently on a six-month loan at Spanish club Real Betis, Antony continues to show appreciation for his former manager’s influence on his career.
