Darwin Núñez is poised to bring his three-year stint at Liverpool to an end, after the club agreed a deal with Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal worth up to £56.6 million (€65 million). The offer includes a guaranteed fee of £46.2 million (€53 million), with additional performance-related add-ons.
While the agreement between the clubs is in place, Liverpool are still awaiting confirmation that the Uruguayan striker has approved the move.

Al Hilal are reportedly ready to meet Núñez’s wage demands, which could seal the deal. AC Milan had shown interest in the forward but were unable to compete financially.

Núñez joined Liverpool from Benfica in 2022 for an initial £64 million, plus substantial add-ons, but the Reds are set to make a loss on the transfer.
During his time at Anfield, the 26-year-old scored 40 goals in 143 appearances. He netted 18 times during Jürgen Klopp’s final season in charge but struggled for consistency last term under new manager Arne Slot, managing only seven goals. However, he made headlines with two crucial stoppage-time goals in Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Brentford in January.
