Al Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed the top spot on Forbes’ list of the highest-paid athletes for the third year in a row.
The 40-year-old Portuguese star earned approximately £206.6 million ($275 million) in 2024, marking an increase of £11.2 million from the previous year. A significant portion of his earnings comes from his £177 million-a-year salary at Saudi club Al Nassr, which he joined from Manchester United in December 2022.
Ronaldo outranks NBA superstar Stephen Curry and British heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury. Meanwhile, his longtime rival Lionel Messi has slipped to fifth place after ranking third last year.
