Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior has expressed strong belief that his team can secure their first-ever FIFA Club World Cup title under the tournament’s new expanded format.
Speaking ahead of Madrid’s opening match against Al-Hilal on Wednesday, the Brazilian winger highlighted the significance of the trophy—one of the few major honors missing from the club’s collection.
“We are eager to win this first Club World Cup because people never forget the first one,” Vinicius said, as quoted by Madrid Xtra.
“It’s the only title Real Madrid doesn’t have. We’re going for it.”
