Real Madrid defender Antonio Rüdiger has described their upcoming FIFA Club World Cup semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain as a “tough” encounter.
Both sides secured their spots in the last four on Saturday, with Real Madrid edging Borussia Dortmund 3-2 and PSG defeating Bayern Munich 2-0.

The highly anticipated semi-final is set to take place at the MetLife Stadium on Wednesday.

Reacting after Los Blancos’ victory over Dortmund, Rüdiger said in his post-match interview:
“PSG are a very, very tough team. They’ve shown they’re one of the best in Europe right now in terms of form, and it’s going to be a tough match. But we’re Real Madrid, and we’re ready for the challenge.”
Madrid will be without centre-back Dean Huijsen, who received a red card during the win over Dortmund, leaving Rüdiger without his usual defensive partner for the showdown against the French champions.
