Chelsea will don a special gold champions badge for the next four years following their emphatic 3-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in Sunday’s FIFA Club World Cup final.
Cole Palmer starred with two brilliant goals in the opening half-hour and later assisted Joao Pedro, who sealed the win with a delicate chip over PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

In addition to the newly designed trophy and a £100 million prize, Chelsea have earned the rare honour of wearing the iconic gold badge—a privilege previously granted for just one year.

The change comes as FIFA president Gianni Infantino has rebranded the Club World Cup, with the tournament now scheduled to take place every four years instead of annually.
Back in 2019, Liverpool were restricted by Premier League rules and allowed to wear the gold badge in only one match after their Club World Cup triumph. However, those regulations have since been relaxed, meaning Chelsea will be able to showcase the badge regularly throughout their domestic and international fixtures.
