“He’s a top full-back, and so quick as well. It was a good battle, and I always enjoy those types of challenges. I’m looking forward to going again next week.”
Despite the defeat, Saka acknowledged PSG’s quality, particularly highlighting their impressive form in Europe. The French side, fresh off eliminating Liverpool and Aston Villa, are now set to face another English club in Arsenal. Saka had high praise for PSG, commenting:
“They have a good manager, top-quality players, and a lot of attacking threat. I think they keep the ball really well in midfield and make you do a lot of running. Honestly, I don’t think anyone enjoys running!”
Saka also noted PSG’s improvement since their 2-0 loss to Arsenal in the group stage, acknowledging their increased cohesion and fluidity:
“I know they only changed two players from the lineup they put out against us before, but the way they flowed, moved the ball, and played as a team was much better. They really impressed me. I’d say they’re the best team we’ve faced this season.”
