Boxing legend George Foreman has passed away at the age of 76, his family confirmed on Friday night.
“We are heartbroken. With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved George Edward Foreman St., who peacefully left us on March 21, 2025, surrounded by loved ones,” read a statement on Foreman’s Instagram account.
The family also requested privacy as they remember and honor the extraordinary life of a man they were blessed to call their own.

Foreman, a two-time world heavyweight champion, also won an Olympic gold medal in 1968. He competed in two of the most iconic bouts in boxing history: “The Fight of the Century” against Joe Frazier in 1971, and “The Rumble in the Jungle” against Muhammad Ali in 1974.
Foreman retired from boxing in 1997, with only five losses throughout his illustrious career.
