According to Sky Sports News, Arsenal have received a significant injury boost with winger Reiss Nelson returning to full first-team training. The club has been grappling with limited attacking options due to injuries to key players Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus, raising concerns about the team’s depth as the season progresses. These issues have also sparked criticism of Arsenal’s recent transfer decisions, including Nelson’s loan to Fulham and the temporary signing of Raheem Sterling.

Currently six points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool, Arsenal remains active in multiple competitions, including the UEFA Champions League and Carabao Cup. As the January transfer window approaches, the club faces mounting pressure to address their attacking weaknesses ahead of the summer transfer window.

Saka’s hamstring injury, sidelining him until at least March, has been a major setback. The departures of Emile Smith Rowe, Eddie Nketiah, and Nelson have further reduced Arsenal’s attacking depth. While Smith Rowe and Nketiah were sold in the summer, Nelson was loaned to Fulham, where he impressed with two goals in 13 appearances before suffering a hamstring injury in December. Fulham manager Marco Silva had previously voiced concerns about Nelson’s recovery.

Nelson’s recent return to training, as highlighted in an Instagram post featuring him alongside former Arsenal player Alex Iwobi and Fulham defender Calvin Bassey, suggests he is nearing full fitness. Though his loan to Fulham was initially seen as a step toward a permanent move, Arsenal could consider recalling him in January if they struggle to secure a new winger. With limited options on the flanks, the club is reportedly exploring reinforcements to bolster their attack and stay competitive in all competitions.
