Arsenal midfielder Jorginho is set to join Brazilian club Flamengo on a three-year contract, keeping him at the club until 2028. The move was confirmed by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a post on his X account on Monday night.
Romano reported that the Italy international will join Flamengo as a free agent at the end of the current season. The deal has been in the works since January, with a verbal agreement in place for a three-year contract.
Romano wrote:
“Jorginho set to join Flamengo on free transfer, here we go!
Plan confirmed since January, and deal set to be sealed for the midfielder who’s leaving Arsenal in June.
Three-year deal until 2028 at Flamengo verbally agreed, as @venecasagrande reports. Jorginho said yes.”

Jorginho, 33, joined Chelsea from Serie A side Napoli in 2018 and spent five years at Stamford Bridge before moving to Arsenal in 2023.
