Newly appointed General Manager of Kano Pillars and current Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, has unveiled a nine-point agenda aimed at returning the club to its former heights.

Addressing journalists on Thursday at the club’s home ground in Kano, Musa stressed the critical role of support and sponsorship, warning that without them, the club would continue to struggle.

“We’re going for the trophy this time around,” Musa declared confidently. “I’ve introduced a nine-point agenda to revive the club’s glory. I call on all Kano sports enthusiasts to stand behind us. I promise to do everything within my power to bring this club back to where it belongs.”

Musa acknowledged the challenge of balancing his responsibilities as both General Manager and a player, but expressed determination to succeed in both roles.

“I’ll ensure every player gets a fair chance to contribute. With our fans’ support, we won’t need to rely solely on government backing. With their help and our jersey sales, we can sustain the team,” he said.

He also highlighted recent improvements in the club’s online presence, noting that increased activity on social media over the past week was a step in the right direction and a sign of better things to come.

“For now, we need the government’s assistance to stabilize the club. But the management team and I have already started reaching out to companies for sponsorship. I’m confident we’ll get it right very soon,” Musa added.

Clarifying the boundaries of his dual role, he stated: “On the pitch, I’m a player—and the coach has full authority, even to discipline me. But off the pitch, I’m the boss. That distinction is very clear.”
