Veteran actor Yemi Solade has openly apologized to fellow filmmaker Afeez Abiodun over a past altercation that occurred during a movie shoot nearly two decades ago.
In his words:

“Let me apologise to Afeez Abiodun. I once slapped him. He was the production manager of a movie—though I can’t recall the exact year. We had travelled to a town on the outskirts of Ibadan for filming. After we wrapped up and returned to town, everywhere was brown and dusty.

As the production manager, he began making some accusations, and I got really infuriated. Out of nowhere, in the dark, I slapped him—something I deeply regret. He left the location early the next morning, and when we woke up, he was gone.
Afeez, I’m truly sorry. Má bínú sí mi.
It’s been a long time—probably about 20 years. I’ve expressed my bitterness about the incident to a few people before, but I just want to direct this apology personally to Afeez. I don’t like being insulted, and I admit that could be my weakness”
