Nollywood actor Afeez Owo who is the husband to Mide Martins has said that social media almost ended his marriage
He recently recalled the first and only serious fight he and Mide Martins ever had.
Speaking on the Behind The List podcast, Afeez revealed that the clash happened in 2016 when anger forced him to leave their home and stay in a hotel for two days.
According to him, his wife, Mide Martins, eventually felt compelled to jump on social media and declare that he had abandoned her and their child, which immediately sparked separation rumours online.

The moviestar stated that the entire saga got messy the moment it reached the internet, and he actually thought their marriage was over at that point.
“I scattered things and at some point, I even thought, is this how it’s going to end? Social media made it worse because it was something we should have resolved privately,” he said.
Confirming that he never abandoned Mide and their child, Afeez noted that his wife took bad advice from friends to spread such a false narrative, and it almost cost them their home.
He concluded by saying that they eventually set their differences aside because the love they shared was strong enough to conquer everything else.
“Thankfully, we reconciled and came back together,” he added.
Against all odds, the couple are still happily married with 2 children.
