Veteran Nollywood actor Tajudeen Oyewole, popularly known as Abija, has opened up about a difficult moment in his life when he considered taking his own life after facing a major disappointment. The revelation came during an interview shared on the official YouTube channel of Feel Right News TV on Friday, August 22, 2025.
In the interview, Oyewole recounted that the experience occurred many years ago during a period of personal struggle. He explained that he had been denied the opportunity to perform pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, an event he described as deeply painful and discouraging. The disappointment, according to him, led him to contemplate suicide.
The actor narrated that while he was on his way to carry out the act, he unexpectedly encountered his girlfriend. According to Oyewole, she made comments suggesting she was aware of his intentions, even though he had not disclosed them to anyone. This, he said, left him both surprised and frightened, as it felt unusual for someone to know what he was secretly planning.

Reflecting on the encounter, Oyewole acknowledged that the moment played a role in changing his decision. He noted that it gave him pause and made him rethink his plans, emphasizing how significant the intervention turned out to be in his life’s journey.
